Bath Racecourse is currently recruiting a driven Hospitality and Sales Executive. This is a great opportunity to join an award winning and vibrant team at an exciting stage in Bath Racecourse’s history.  Since our redevelopment we have won numerous industry awards including ‘The Best Racecourse Catering’ at The Racecourse Catering Awards and the coveted ‘Best Customer Service’ at The Racecourse Association Awards.  We have ambitions to become one of the country’s leading small racecourses and this position will play a key role in realising this ambition.

Role Overview:

The successful applicant will convert enquiries at a high level and work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to create an inspired and creative sales strategy.  The Hospitality Sales Executive will implement this strategy to maximize revenue for the following key income streams:

  • Hospitality & Restaurant sales
  • Race Sponsorship
  • The list is not exhaustive as cross selling and up selling are key elements of the role.

The above areas of responsibility will be achieved through converting enquiries as well as proactively identifying and sourcing new customers in each of the above categories.  You will need to renew and retain existing clients by ensuring they receive excellent customer service and by keeping a dialogue open to ensure they are aware of all future opportunities.  Your weekly, monthly and annual targets will include:

  • Meeting commercial targets
  • Ensuring effective delivery of hospitality and partnerships
  • Arranging and hosting events onsite and offsite for existing and prospective partners

The challenges of the role are also its benefits; it’s fast paced, varied and no two days are the same.  You must be experienced in managing significant value sponsorship partners simultaneously and be flexible enough to re-prioritise when the commercial targets demand.
