About the role:
This is an exciting role where no two days are the same. Working regionally across multiple racecourses within the North/Central region as well as supporting group-wide campaigns when required, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to work in a face-paced, fun and entrepreneurial organisation that entertains millions of visitors each year.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in their marketing career to build on their current experience and who is keen to get involved in lots of different projects, utilising the full marketing mix. Responsibilities of a Senior Marketing Executive (Please see attached Job Description for further details):
- Support the Regional Marketing Manager and central marketing team to execute the company marketing strategy for the Central region, maximising sales across raceday and non-raceday income lines, and reviewing media campaigns to identify new local opportunities
- Create and capture engaging content (written, video and photo) for websites, social media and email, including attending key horse racing fixtures and events (approx. 20 per year; evenings/weekends required, TOIL accrued)
- Take ownership of website optimisation in line with SEO direction and KPIs, and support CRM activity including email calendar planning and database growth
- Coordinate marketing campaigns from conception to delivery by liaising with internal designers, external agencies and stakeholders, ensuring materials are accurate, on time and aligned to campaign strategy
- Support campaign analysis and optimisation, monitor and respond to customer feedback, and help improve brand perception online
- Support wider marketing projects, provide administrative support to the team and senior management, and undertake ad hoc marketing duties
The Person we are looking for as a Senior Marketing Executive has…
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a marketing role, working across the full marketing mix
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure; excellent communication skills and experience managing multiple stakeholders; works well as part of a team
- Experience delivering a range of on and offline marketing collateral effective within marketing campaigns; experience with social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter)
- Clear, concise writing style and excellent grammar; high attention to detail
- Creative and enthusiastic with a positive attitude; proactive self-starter; results orientated
- Knowledge and understanding of the leisure sector and ticket or hospitality-based business is desirable; experience managing a budget advantageous
