The Royal Windsor Racecourse are looking for a talented and experienced BOH Manager to manage our 1866 fine dining restaurant on a casual basis.  

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual with a passion for food and good hospitality. Must possess a can-do attitude and hone a level of confidence to work alongside the head chef to run the pass and the overall BOH service, managing a small team of chefs and kitchen porters. You will maintain the overall hygiene of the kitchen, running the dinner service in line with client expectations, time keeping, maintaining presentation standards throughout the entire service, excellent communication skills to delegate tasks to the team and a problem-solving nature is desirable. We are looking for a skilled individual who is confident in a customer facing role, can liaise with clients and customers when necessary handling any queries regarding the menu, dietary requirements and allergens. 


  • Support the Head Chef to deliver smooth food service
  • Manage BOH staff and coordinate food orders
  • Supervising food prep and cooking
  • Observing food plating and checking core food temperatures
  • Establish correct portion sizes
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • Store food products in compliance with safety and hygiene practices  
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Carrying out inspections of BOH areas, including dry stores, fridges, freezers, workrooms and checking for equipment cleanliness
