To assist Resort Financial Controller with all finance duties at Lingfield Park. To act in the absence of the Resort Financial Controller to answer all queries relating to aspects within remit.

This role assists with all areas of the site and centralised accounts departments, ensuring relevant support for the accounts function through excellent communication and proactive assistance.

The individual will be a member of the accounts team reporting to the Resort Financial Controller and liaising with other heads of departments.



  • Prepare reporting for the racing aspect of Lingfield Park. Including flash reports, cashflow and forecasting
  • Preparation of racedays within finance remit
  • Ensure all industry funding is received and correctly accounted for on each raceday, by completing weatherbys bank reconciliation
  • Performing month end processes, including racing accruals, stocks etc
  • Review month end accounts, ensuring raceday flash reports match racecourse accounts
  • Review and support the centralised AP and AR teams on key control accounts, being trade debtors and trade creditors
  • Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations for inclusion within the management accounts for prepayments and accruals
  • Production of VAT return
  • Keep fixed asset register up to date
  • Assist with resort forecasting

    Experience in sales and purchase ledgers, along with balance sheet reconciliation are required.

    Sporting/Leisure background would be beneficial.
