Lingfield Park Resort is part of Arena Racing Company (ARC) and is looking for a Golf Assistant to join our Golf team. You will report to the Golf Operations Manager deputising in their absence to lead the team in providing an efficient reception service, ensuring high quality customer care operating within brand guidelines.

Some of the Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close shift in accordance with manager’s checklist, to include security and cash handling guidelines.
  • To provide a high-quality retail environment for all guests and customers, ensuring all the company minimum SOP’s are achieved and maintained.
  • To deal with advance reservations, taking bookings and special requirements to achieve maximise income.
  • To provide outstanding service to all customers, ensuring all customers receive a warm welcome and are offered assistance.  Initiate guest interaction through seeking and soliciting feedback from guests.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all Associates and Guests.
  • Maintain Marriott service standards using records, menus and appropriate reference materials.
  • Be an ambassador for the Company’s environment policy in regard to recycling, energy control and cleanliness.
  • Communicate directly, and / or through the use of the log book, to the Golf Manager.
  • To be familiar with all areas of the Resort and daily activity in order to promote our services and answer guest queries.
  • To contribute to stock management, merchandising and general housekeeping standards.
  • To be familiar with the operation of the catering function at the Golf Clubhouse and be prepared to cover breaks or shifts for F&B staff as required.

    Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of two years customer service experience
  • Written / verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Golf
  • Demonstrated hospitality skills
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic

    Hours of Work:

    • Due to the nature of our business you will be expected to work anti-social hours.  Flexibility toward week-end, early morning or late evening working is a pre-requisite of this employment.
