Lingfield Park Resort part of the Arena Racing Company (ARC) is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager who will report to the General Manager. The Hotel Food and Beverage Manger will have an eye for detail, who is passionate about service delivery pushing boundaries to deliver a top-class product.

Some of the key responsibilities

  • Review the Hotel food and beverage customer proposition with the objective of making improvements to the guest satisfaction, increasing sales and overall profitability
  • To work seamlessly with the Hotel & Country Club Manager to ensure that the food and beverage department adheres to the Marriott Hotel brand standards
  • To ensure that all food and beverage Team members are appropriately trained and are kept up to date with current legislation
  • With the support of our marketing team promote the various Hotel food and beverage offers to increase sales
  • Actively participate in Team recruitment as required and importantly focus on Team retention and engagement levels
  • Be fully aware of competitors offers, anticipating industry trends and leading the Team to deliver a product in line with these
  • Guide the growth and development of your Team to support both business objectives and the personal career progression of those you will manage
  • Interact with guests to obtain direct feedback on product quality and service satisfaction and respond effectively and professionally to guest requests
  • To establish and monitor good purchasing practice across the food and beverage department ensuring efficient expenditure balancing price with quality to establish best value

Person Specification

Experience and skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a food and beverage management role with diverse catering facilities
  • Excellent people management skills with a track record of motivating, leading and managing teams
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Leading the team by example demonstrating a hands-on, hard-working work ethic along with honesty and integrity
  • Works well under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, honest and trustworthy
